Here's a Mind Map of Jazz guitar chords of C major, for Ionian and Lidian modes.

The chords shapes are categorized into three branches based on the place(string #) of the root note(i.e. the "C" note). The fifth string and the forth string branches have "left" and "right" posistions depending on which side the fingers are placed according to the root note. Every branch spreads from a derivative of the primary chord form of CM7.

I'll do this thing for D minor 7th and G dominant 7th next time! D minor 7th will includes 9th, 6th. G dominant 7th will includes a lot of tensions like 9, 13 (natual) and b9, #9, #11, b13 (altered).

I want to tell you and share these 3 points we focused to develop JUDE 3.0 version with you today.

1. Improvement of Expressiveness
We started supporting some of new notations of UML2.0 since Professional 3.0 to provide higher level of expressiveness.
JUDE makes much more of communications among people or development teams more than cooperation among computers but UML 2.0 seems like that it makes more of cooperation among computers in contrast such as how MDA is. Then why have we started supporting UML 2.0 now? It Ń‘ because that we believe that more notations we have, the easier the communication could be in some levels and that√‘ our viewpoint and we develop JUDE with ordering of priority stage by stage.
There is one thing we are very careful about supporting new UML 2.0 notations. It is that we don√’ add new notations too quickly. Even though we had added more new UML 2.0 notations, if the relations between new notations and other elements are too ambiguous, it would just end up being awkward to work with. So JUDE intends to have each action to be organized and clearly detailed per each notation for users to be more easy and convenient to work with.

2. Continue improving usability

Good Usability is one of the most important thing on developing JUDE. We had a strategy to develop JUDE3.0 just focusing on UML 2.0 support. However we did not choose the path and chose to work on improving usability based on users requests, even though the UML 2.0 support process gets behind. Features that we have improved with JUDE 3.0 :
- Made it easier to add Attributes and Operations continuously using Enter Key in Diagram Editor
- Made it easier to find what belongs to what relations such as multiplicity etc with Rubber band
- Made it easier to add Associations with Dropdown buttons.
- Made it able to convert between AssociationClasses to Classes.
- Make it easier to see Namespace of Attribute Types by display in Property View.. and more.

3. More Open
We have started to release API, have opened JUDE Community Site and are showing Developers Blog and the information about Development open there. What we try here is making our side visible toward users. We intend to do same with our software. Although we cannot let the whole source code open but we want to show you as much as possible. The purpose (and our wish at the same time) of doing these is to make every user to join us through JUDE. We would love every user to take part in JUDE!
There are some limitations with API release, yet I wish you to try API and post some samples on JUDE Community Site and share them among JUDE Users!!

Try 20days Evaluation License of JUDE/Professional 3.0 and let us know what you think!

Have you ever thought that Ň™ wish the Diagram Editor space was a bit bigger.°¶when you were creating diagrams?
We should be supporting a feature to make the Diagram Editor to be full screen. However we haven√’ done that yet so I want to show you my ideas here. In face we have added a new secret option on JUDE3.0. It is an option to hide the window title bar of Diagram Editor. I think these window title bars are not always necessary except for users who handle several diagrams at once. more

What's important in offshore development is how to tell stories exactly and
correctly to the others. We use the Messengers to communicate with our team
members in China using our second language, English. So sometimes words cannot
describe Ň…ow-to-operate°¶exactly. So to escape any troubles happening in
understanding, we use WIKI.

Let me show you an example. (Picture on the right)
We write the story and put images on WIKI like this.

Having images really helps to understand what it says.

Speaking of images help to understand, we have been gotten following requests from
our users.
・"An association and the associated class should be highlighted when the association
names, multiplicities, stereotypes and constraints are moved.°¶
・Ňłhen you select the association of classes, the name, Multiplicities, stereotypes and constraints should be highlighted.°¶

So we took these advice and now plan to add this functions in our next release.
Here is an image of JUDE using this function.

The bigger the Class Diagram becomes, the more it tends to be condensed.
When you handle the Associations contain a lot of multiplicities, they get very
confusing and you wouldn√’ know what is associated to what and etc°¶anymore.
I myself have experienced that also. And this new function will be very helpful for it for sure.
Thank you all for your requests!

Drop more your requests in this Community Site. We would love to hear your voice about JUDE

JUDE is a unique modeling tool which combines UML and Mind Maps.
Here, I wrote a technical paper of the background thoughts ...
Why UML and Mind Map, anyway ??

Agile Modeling with Mind Map and UML

Requirement Gathering or Gathering User Stories
(in Agile context) is always a challenging phase in
software development. There are no standard
processes or notations defined, In addition,
communication and facilitation skills are the primary
factor that makes the activity effective. In this paper, I
propose a new method for exploring Ň∂ser Wish°¶
using Mind Maps and then model it using UML.

We put up this paper on the wall of our JavaOne Pavilion booth and many engineers liked the concept, thank you !

What do you think ?

Change Vision, Inc. exhibited JUDE and TRICHORD(agile project dashboard) in JavaOne 2006.

There are 800 visitors to our booth and at least 300 saw our demonstration(I prepared only 300 T-shirts to give away to those who saw the demo), thank you very much.

Here are several topics I'd like to share with you.

1. "Kent Beck"(father of extreme programming) and Cindee(his wife) visited our booth and saw Mind Maps in JUDE. He said it was the most beautiful Mind Map tool, and Cindee said she liked the color.

2. In the Day3 general session, Erich Gamma(one of GoF, Eclipse lead, and JUnit pair programer of Kent) said that transparency, honesty, and project health are important to sustain a project. Our project dashboard product "TRICHORD" just designed to make project transparent and healthy. I should email to Erich Gamma!

3. "Artima developer" visited our booth to audio record my message.
Kenji Hiranabe, CEO of Change Vision, Inc., discusses the advantages of having developers push status to managers, rather than having managers pull status from developers. (3:11)

I just came home from JavaOne. wow, it is Sunday...
And my birthday was yesterday.

Not many people know that GUI in JUDE can be displayed in various lauguages.

Currently English, Japanese, Chinese and Spanish are available.
If your language is not included on the list, you can create resource
file of the language you would like easily. So please try it. more

Hello, JUDE Users,

I'm Kenji HIRANABE, the Product Manager of JUDE.

Let me explain a little bit about my future vision.
Please have a look at the attached image.
