Is it possible to generate a right sequence expression for concurrent messages? For example

first message : 1.1.3a
second message: 1.1.3b

So far I can see it's not possible to change the (astah) index manually

If you will do that it would be fine. And if you are going to refurbish the sequence term look at the guard which is part of the recurrence term (also an iteration is contained) which is also part of the sequence term. This must be before the colon.
