When I attempted to load my existing Java project into Jude I got an error stating that Jude could not import Java 5.0 code. When do you think that Java 5.0 support will be available in Jude?

Hello Chris,

JUDE/Professional supports the import of the Java 5.0 code since ver 3.1.
(Generics are not supported yet and are imported as normal classes.
Generics will be supported in near feature.)

I am afraid that we do not have a plan to support it in JUDE/Community version at the moment.

Why are there no plans to support Java5/generics in the community edition?

Do you not consider the community project users as likely to be using current technologies or design patterns?

We have released JUDE ver 5.2!
Finally Java 5.0 source code is supported for [Import Java] in JUDE/Community 5.2!
