Hide activation bar in sequence diagrams Hi,
I am using the community edition, and would like to be able to hide activation bars on on sequence diagrams if possible. I looked around the ##### help and the within the tool itself, but was not able to find a way. I transitioned from Visual Paradigm, and this option was available in that tool. Can someone point me to this option if available? much appreciated. |

Re: Hide activation bar in sequence diagrams Hi,
We're afraid that there is no way to hide the activation bars in the current Astah. We'll add this request to our user-wish list. Only you can do is to make them the shortest possible using the [Adjust Execution Specification Length] menu for now. Re: Hide activation bar in sequence diagrams This is by far the greatest uml tool after trying so many. We are planning on getting the professional edition. It would be nice if you can add that feature to hide activation bars. Any idea when this feature can be expected?

Re: Hide activation bar in sequence diagrams Thank you for your message. Sorry that it took long to get back.
Not too soon unfortunately but the development team is now considering the way to add this feature in Astah and would like to ask you if the following limitations are acceptable: While the activation bar is hidden, you cannot - create the sub messages ie 1.1 Messages of a sub message of 1 Message and - create Reply messages Would these be acceptable? Thanks, SJ |

Re: Hide activation bar in sequence diagrams Yes, it is acceptable. Typically, when the activation bars are hidden, the author is more concerned about the logical sequence of messages and not their actual order in the system.
