To get an Actor icon in the Structure Tree (The top left pane), right-click on a Project or Package Icon in the tree then select [Create Model] - [Add Actor]. An Actor icon appears in the Structure Tree and you can drag it and drop onto the Sequence Diagram.  On the "Learn UML with JUDE" page, the Actor icon shown in the snapshot of Sequence Diagram was already created on the process to create a UseCase Diagram at "1-7 Draw a UseCase diagram". Quote: A toolbar button would be great to add one to a sequence diagram! We will consider implementing it in the future. Until then, create Actors with the method that I mentioned above.  Thanks.
