Yes, you dropped your feature request in a right place.

In fact, the request you gave us has been already in a feature in JUDE/Professional Edition Only. (Since JUDE/Professional 2.x)
In JUDE/Professional 2.x and later version, in the "Search pane" you can do right-clicking on the elements to have pop-up menu in the result after you searched. Then you can click on "Show in Structure Tree" in Pop-up Menu and it will switch to the Structure panel and guide you to the location where the element is.
It's a pretty useful feature as you know.

We do not have a plan to add this feature to JUDE/Community edition yet.
So please try JUDE/Professional to use this function!
