[Feature Request] conformance to freedesktop standards
I'd like to see support for the various Freedesktop standards. These should be fairly simple to add to the linux binaries.

where to put various files in $HOME (e.g.) 
$HOME/$XDG_CONFIG_HOME/astah

.desktop file

http://standards.freedesktop.org/desktop-entry-spec/desktop-entry-spec-latest.html

including related png/svg graphic (basically just an alternate supported format of the ico), and mime type
