Re: JUDE 5.3 for Mac OS X Dear Paul,
Updating Tiger and Java may solve the problem as it is confirmed that the JUDE for Mac OS X works fine on the environment described as below. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mac OS X 10.4.11 (8S165) 1.5GHz PowerPC G4 512MB DDR SDRAM java version "1.5.0_13" Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_13-b05-241) Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.5.0_13-121, mixed mode, sharing) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So please try launching JUDE again after updating Tiger and Java. If you are still unable to launch JUDE, please let us know again. Thanks, Satomi |

Re: JUDE 5.3 for Mac OS X Hi,
I downloaded the Jude Community for Mac OS using the link in this thread. I unzipped it and copied the JUDE_COM_mac folder to Applications. I have tried launching it both by double-clicking on the JUDE-Community.app item in Finder and using TigerLaunch. In both cases, it appears to get invoked but nothing happens. I'm not sure where to look for log output. I am running Mac OS X 10.4.10 with 4GB RAM. Executing "java -version" produces: java version "1.5.0_07" Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_07-164) Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.5.0_07-87, mixed mode, sharing) Can anyone advise what may be wrong or where I can look for more information? Thanks, Paul |

JUDE 5.3 for Mac OS X We have released JUDE installer (ver 5.3) designated for Mac OS X. As we have mentioned when we had released ver 5.2.1, this is not an official release so Change Vision may not provide technical support for problems during installing or running JUDE on Mac OS X. (See System Requirements on our website) We welcome feedbacks at JUDE Community Site Forum.
Downloads - JUDE/Professional 5.3 for Mac OS X http://jude.change-vision.com/public/mac/jude-professional-5_3-MacOs.zip - JUDE/Community 5.3 for Mac OS X http://jude.change-vision.com/public/mac/jude-community-5_3-MacOs.zip System Requirements JUDE for Mac OS X requires a Mackintosh (CPU: PowerPC G4/G5 1GHz or higher, or Core solo, Memory: more than 512MB) with Mac OS X v.10.4 (Tiger) or Mac OS X v.10.5 (Leopard). What's the difference between this and one on JUDE official site? JUDE for Mac OS X has implements below and it looks more like Mac OS X application compared to zip-file installer for non-windows users we currently provide on JUDE official site. - Menu bar is shown at the top of the screen - .jude files are shown in JUDE icon. (Select [Open with] to reset if you already have .jude files related with jude-community.jar or jude-pro.jar) Notes EMF export/copy functionalities do not work in Mac OS X. Also layouts of buttons may not appear like Mac application on some dialogs and some functionalities may be ineffective if you only have one pointing device like one-button mouse. Shortcut keys Useful shortcut keys are available in JUDE. If you are using JUDE/Professional, go to [Help] - [Welcome to JUDE/Professional], then you will have three mindmaps. You can find the list of Shortcut keys in [03_A Guide to Shortcut Keys]. *Hit [Command] key for [Ctrl] in Mac OS X* Bugs JUDE/Professional for Mac OS X currently contains following bugs. - Unable to export Entity Definition Report - The letters in title of exported CSV could get garbled - Any menu button under [Collaboration] works Thank you. Best regards, JUDE Development Team |
