Feature Request: Drag from "Search" pane Is this the right place for feature requests?
In a big project, I frequently forget where a given model element is located. To find it, I look for it in the Search panel, but in order to add it to a diagram, I have to go back to the Structure panel, locate it and then drag it. I'd like to be able to drag elements directly from the Search pane to the diagram, or alternatively, double-click on an element in the Diagram should switch to the Structure panel and select the element. |

Re: Feature Request: Drag from "Search" pane Thank you dserodio for dropping your requests in JUDE Community Site Forum!
Yes, you dropped your feature request in a right place. In fact, the request you gave us has been already in a feature in JUDE/Professional Edition Only. (Since JUDE/Professional 2.x) In JUDE/Professional 2.x and later version, in the "Search pane" you can do right-clicking on the elements to have pop-up menu in the result after you searched. Then you can click on "Show in Structure Tree" in Pop-up Menu and it will switch to the Structure panel and guide you to the location where the element is. It's a pretty useful feature as you know. We do not have a plan to add this feature to JUDE/Community edition yet. So please try JUDE/Professional to use this function! |
