Line Breaks in Names and Stereotypes
Hey guys,

is there any way to add line breaks to names and / or stereotypes in activity diagrams?

atm we are adding (long) text to lines manually. Hence if we move the lines the text won't move accordingly. As an alternative solution joining text with lines would be ok too.

Thanks a lot in advance,
versus.

Hello Versus,

Thanks for your post.

We are afraid only model elements that you can wrap the name for in Activity diagrams are as below and you cannot do so for the others including the text with Control Flow/Object Flow lines.
- Action
- CallBehaviourAction
- SendSignalAction
- AcceptEventAction
- AcceptTimeEventAction
- Process

This isn't available either unfortunately. You can use Note and Note Anchor if it could be a help.

The easy way to find if the model element allows you to wrap the text for is to see its field in the Property View.

For example, if you go to Action's property and see its "Entry" field, you can wrap a text there, so that means you are able to wrap the text in the diagram.

On the other hand, if the filed is just one line and you cannot wrap the text there, that means you cannot wrap it in diagram either.

We'll add your request to our user wish-list.

Thank you.

Cheers,
SJ

My pleasure, Versus. We'll keep you updated on this.

All the readers here, what model elements do you want to wrap the text for the most?
Let us know on here on the reply, Facebook, Twitter or through email.
